Dance/rock crossover pioneers Primal Scream formed in 1982, headed by former The Jesus and Mary Chain drummer Bobby Gillespie. They were introduced to the burgeoning acid house scene in 1988 and met Andrew Weatherall who remixed thier track “I’m Losing More Than I’ll Ever Have” into Primal Scream’s first major hit, “Loaded”.
“Don’t Fight It, Feel It” was the follow up and 3rd single off their album, “Screamadelica” which IMO, has aged pretty well. This track in particular, with it’s pre-speed garage/2step/dubstep/whatever they are currently calling it now “hoover” bassline over house tempo beats still sounds great. Not quite an acid house tune by definition, but definitely of that era-complete with Italian piano house breakdown (good enough to not propel it into the cheesy category). The remixes and even a couple of records that sample this went on to become underground classics in their own right. *VIDEO, ->BUY

Apart from Sabres of Paradise’s “Still fighting”, which other records sample “Don’t fight it…”?
