June 12th, 2009 · 5 Comments · Experimental, Music, synth

Today’s select is in honor of the birth of my daughter, Onjali Marie! Welcoming her into the world is Isao Tomita‘s synthtastic version of the timeless,”Claire De Lune”. Ministry, Work For Love, Arista 1982

December 22nd, 2008 · 2 Comments · Music, disco, synth

Hard to believe that Ministry started out sounding this way. “Work For Love” is an 80s synth pop gem that holds up better than a lot of the band’s later material. Recently included on Metro Area’s Fabric mix (highly recommended), this song has not left my brain for days-you’ve been warned.
